Dr. Noha Shalaby (RPh, PhD) is a proud compounding pharmacist & entrepreneur. In 2012, Shalaby became the first internationally certified compounding pharmacist in the Middle East by global international bodies. Over the years, Shalaby had attended advanced and extended compounding trainings & courses in key markets like USA, Canada & Australia. These trainings span from simple Non-Sterile to High-Risk Sterile compounding. She went through in-depth trainings in key therapeutic areas that tackle hormonal imbalances in men and women through BHRT and critical therapy areas like peptides & pain management.Building on that, she built the foundations of modern personalised pharmaceutical compounding in the Middle East and served thousands of patients coming from around 20+ countries worldwide.
Travelling around the globe to learn about the different areas of pharmaceutical compounding, Shalaby was recognised for her efforts by international compounding bodies and was invited to speak about her experiences in the emerging markets in the USA in 2018 in the 1st World Congress of Compounding.
Shalaby is the only pharmacist member in Asia & Middle East in American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M), and an active member of the American College of Apothecaries.
To Shalaby, pharmaceutical compounding is a personal mission. She believes it is the most elite profession within the practice of pharmacy. It is in her firm beliefs that pharmaceutical compounding, with its modern tools and techniques, can change people’s lives for good.
Passion towards compounding by Shalaby made her take the step towards founding Sweet Treat Pharmacy & Compounding Lab. Sweet Treat was established in the Philippines in 2018 to serve patients across Asia Pacific with the utmost standards of pharmaceutical compounding. With dedication and perseverance, Sweet Treat had kick-started its operations in Cairo, Egypt during COVID times to serve patients in Egypt, the Middle East and Africa. She believes that with passion, dedication and hard work, dreams can come true.
Today, Sweet Treat Pharmacy and Compounding Lab serves patients over the globe and supports realization of multiple & diverse business ventures and alliances that would support the health and well-being of thousands of patients daily.
Ahmed Alrafeey is a distinguished healthcare leader with a strong legal foundation and extensive executive experience in pharmacy operations and pharmaceutical supply chain management. He graduated from the Faculty of Law and began his career as a lawyer and legal advisor at an international law firm, where he developed deep expertise in regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and legal risk management.
Driven by a passion for the healthcare sector and building on his early experience in pharmaceutical trading, storage and the management of drug warehouses and companies, Ahmed transitioned into healthcare leadership by joining Sweet Treat Pharmacy, one of the leading international institutions dedicated to pharmaceutical services and public health awareness. Over a distinguished career spanning more than five years, he held several key leadership roles, including Legal Advisor and Operations Manager, before being promoted to Associate Vice President – Egypt Operations.
Ahmed has led numerous strategic initiatives that enhanced operational efficiency, strengthened regulatory compliance and implemented quality and accreditation standards across pharmacy operations. His ability to integrate legal expertise with operational leadership has enabled sustainable organizational growth, effective risk management, and the development of high-performing multidisciplinary teams.
He is also deeply committed to professional development and capacity building, having designed and led multiple training programs for pharmacists and pharmacy assistants, focusing on Good Dispensing Practices, patient safety, and effective patient communication. Ahmed continues to champion healthcare excellence and sustainable growth, driven by a vision to elevate the quality and accessibility of pharmacy services.legal risk management.
Alex received his BA from Vassar College in New York, started his career with KPMG’s corporate finance team and subsequently worked for a number of family offices.
Alex’s professional experience brings the team grounding in corporate finance, private equity and business development. Most recently, Alex’s professional focus has been on various segments of the longevity industry including telemedicine, AI in pharma, pharmaceutical compounding and longevity real estate.
Alex is passionate about weightlifting, yoga and meditation and is currently an MBA candidate at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
