How Setting One Goal Could Change Your Life

If you have ever felt like you are wandering aimlessly through life, don’t feel bad, you are not alone. Millions of people get up every morning and go to work, just so they can come back home with that empty feeling again. It’s bad, and what’s worse is that most people already know how to fix their lives, but never get started on it. So, what’s the difference between the person who wishes they had a better life and the person who already has a better life? Clearly defined goals. I know most people would say winning the lottery, but it’s just not true.

You see, without clearly defined goals, it’s easy to wander aimlessly throughout life. You may even be really busy doing this and that everyday, but when you take a harder look at your life, you may find that you’re just acting busy. You are just going through the motions, never really getting anything of any value accomplished. This is how most people let themselves off the hook, so to speak. They act like they are too busy to even consider having a goal or start something new. These people also avoid the pain of failure, because they never really try to do anything. However, they also miss out on the joy of living a truly purposeful life.

Do you want to have a more purposeful and prosperous life?

Set a goal today!

Start off with a small goal, if you have to. If you don’t know how to swim, you don’t go jumping off the diving board into the deep end of the pool. First, you start off in the kiddie pool, then you go to the shallow end, and finally you can go jump into the deep end. The same thing is true for goals. Achieving small goals can help build your self-esteem and confidence in your abilities. You will find, with your new found confidence, that it’s easy to jump off the diving board into a big goal.

What are you waiting for? Get started!

Just write down one small goal right now, and put a date by which you would like to achieve it. Then put it somewhere you can see it throughout the day. Like taped to your monitor, if that’s where you spend most of your time.

Once you get started, your momentum will propel you to achieve the life that you have dreamed of!

Mike, it’s so true that having goals can change your life. Setting goals for yourself helps you get to where you want to be, and you end up achieving things you never thought you could. The topic “Live With Purpose” is also discussed by the CEO of 5WPR, Ronn Torossian in his blog. We all want to have a better life; the way to do it is to live a truly purposeful and prosperous life with set goals helping you achieve that.
